Australian Journal Of Mineralogy
The latest issue of this great journal is out and has articles
describing some new minerals: Cloncurryite, Gillardite and Parwanite, plus
several other interesting articles. We can show you copies on request and
provide subscription forms ($28/yr). Other upcoming issues are Gold (November
2008?), a second Tasmania issue and possibly Gem minerals.
The journal is a must-have for all Australian mineral collectors and
mineralogists. It is of a similar standard to the Mineralogical Record, but the
focus is on articles on Australian minerals and localities.
Any contributions, advertising, and suggestions can be directed through
the editor, Dermot Henry (dhenry@museum.vic.gov.au ).
The first
Tasmanian issue (Dundas) has now been printed and looks great; we have some
spare copies for sale locally. The second issue is now planned for November
2009. Good photos are still most welcome.
Several other
back issues of are available from the Mineral society (via Ralph. Email: rsbottrill@internode.on.net .
